Pray

We are still in the hosptial...no end really insight.

Brian still has fevers. His counts have been bouncing back and forth so the past few days he has had a lot of blood transfusions and platelet transfusions. We are still investigating and testing to figure out the source of these fevers.

Brian has maintained a pretty good appetite and has been drinking a lot of fluids.

please continue to pray for relief for his body and guidance for the doctors.

We try to hang our hat on hope and know that we kind find refuge in our faith.

If you would like to help Brian you can send him letters or comments to help him gain strength to fight.

  1. Good Morning!
    Couldn't sleep, up since 5.
Combed thru the Bible with prayers and thoughts for both of you. Kept coming back to the words I read at your wedding. Remember the weeks before, how stressful it was wrapping up school and finishing plans for a wedding? But nothing mattered that day. You both got thru the stress with so much humor and love. Where one is weak, the other is strong. You are truly one in marriage.

I know it has been a very long road since April and an even longer two weeks. I've prayed for comfort in your surroundings, guidance for your doctors, healing, strength and patience.

Spend time reflecting on every awesome, fun, happy, thankful thought and memory. Continue to be positive thru each other and thru God. XxOo (From Nacho LIbre, Big Kiss, Little Kiss, Big Hug, Little Hug) each other.

    Love,
    Nina

  2. NOW MAY THE GOD OF HOPE FILL YOU WITH ALL JOY AND PEACE IN BELIEVING, THAT YOU MAY ABOUND IN HOPE BY THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT. Romans 15:13 This isn't "natural" especially with all that you two are going through. Praying the Holy Spirit gives you peace and joy and hope beyond understanding! KEEP FIGHTING!

  13. I have to admit I have become a frequent visitor of your blog; as it is AMAZING the stregth the two of you have and the drive you give to all of us (random people).

Brian - Please see your post from two weeks ago... I believe Jan 8th... re-read the reasons you fight... This is inspiring to me and obviously hit a nerve with me (That part of the post is worth framing!). I am a person you have never met (I work with Stacy's dad) and I think/pray for you all daily - People like you two are so rare - God IS GOOD and you remind so many of us how true that is. You have it in you! God really is great!

  14. Hang in there Brian. I have to have surgery for a rotator cuff tear on Feb. 25. The doctor said my golf days are over until atleast 8-25. Guess your dad, my dad, you and I might have to wait another year until we can play golf again.

Maybe if we combine the hawks and the gophers in football and basketball, we might be able to beat Ohio State.

Barb & I are always thinking of you guys

  33. Brian,
I think if you came and hung out a day with me up here in Aberdeen it would help the fevers out. I got in my car the other day and my thermometer said it was -24 degrees. It was crazy how cold it was. I hope today or yesterday that you guys finally got some good news from your test results and things start to get better for you soon. Take care buddy!

  34. Brian,
We are on our knees in Center Point. I've put the lyrics to one of our favorite songs that we used for encouragement as our son, Noah went through his chemo/radiation/multiple hospital visits. It lifts my heart just reading/singing the words - hope it does the same for you :)

    Almighty God my redeemer
My hiding place my safe refuge, no other name like Jesus
No power can stand against You.

My feet are planted on this rock
And I will not be shaken
My hope it comes from You alone
    My Lord and my salvation

Your praise is always on my lips
Your word is living in my heart
And I will praise You with a new song, My soul will bless You Lord

You fill my life with greater joy
Yes I delight myself in You
And I will praise You with a new song, My soul will bless You, Lord

When I'm poor, I know I'm rich for in the power of Your name

  39. Hi, Brian & Stacy,
We are 'specifically' asking God to send an answer to some doctor to figure this out and turn this around. You've got so many prayer warriors, God has to know we are not going to be passive, we are in battle with this demon in your body! Brian, draw strength on knowing we are in this fight with you. Take care, Buddy-ro!
