Some stuff is out of your hands

This is a difficult to post to write in so many ways. Today Brian was having a rough morning and we decided that it was time we go back home to Cedar Rapids to be with family. Brian will be admitted to the Mercy Hospice House this evening so that he can get receive the appropriate care that he needs. Right now we are spending time with family.

Brian and I appreciate all of your support, kind words, encouragement, donations, meals and everything. The past 10 months have been very rough and it has been a such a long journey. Brian and I have fought as hard as we could but we know and understand, as hard as it is, that God has a bigger plan for us.

Thanks for everything!

  1. Stacey and Brian, bless both of you. Yes, God must have a bigger plan and he must need one more Angel in Heaven. We are blessed to have had Brian in our family for as long as we did. Be strong...

  3. I'm just speechless. So many things I want to say but not even sure how to have any of it make sense. You are a wonderful couple who were so lucky to have found each other. You two are such an inspiration to all of us. God blessed us all when you were born and more so when he led you to each other. God is the only one who knows the master plan and we must follow. We continue to pray for you.

  6. Genesis 32:24-26
24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak. 25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched as he wrestled with the man. 26 Then the man said, "Let me go, for it is daybreak." But Jacob replied, "I will not let you go unless you bless me."

You both have continued to fight this battle with every ounce of energy from the beginning, and I pray the Lord will continue to let you do so and acquire His blessing in this difficult time. Our prayers are with the both of you.

  9. Stacey-
Thoughts and prayers are with you. I wish I had the right words to tell you how sorry I am. We all prayed for a miracle, but God has bigger plans for a terrific man. He still has plans for you, too! Wherever life takes you, remember I'm here for you always.

    Brian-
I will NEVER forget having PE with you when I was a freshman..it was an interesting class and you were definately the life of it :) I still have the picture of you when you spun the penny and it stuck straight up in a crack in the gym floor, it was priceless. Keep fighting friend, you are an amazing person and you've touched so many lives..too many to count.

You don't know me, but a great friend asked me to pray for you today. I logged on to read your blog and have been overcome by inspiration from the two of you. God does have a plan for both of you...and you will be together again. God bless your family also.
    Continued prayers.

  17. Your faith and love for each other will enable you to continue this fight! I heard a saying once that goes, "When things are going well God is putting his faith in our abilities, when things are tough we should put our faith in his abilities."

Keep up the fight and know so many people are praying for you. Jill (Clausen) Rudloff
